Right before the Covid pandemic hit, we were busy building a HoloSands sandbox for the soon to open Monroe Science Center in Monroe, North Carolina. Unfortunately, the pandemic turned all of our schedules upside down. Renovation of the facility really slowed down, materials became hard to find, and work crews got stuck between shutdown mandates and the inevitable sickness. It was an uncertain time for all museums.
We continued constructing their sandbox, and on February 21st or 2020, delivered it for storage until the exhibit space was ready.
Finally, the happy day came in early 2021 when we were able to install the sandbox in their completed exhibit space!
It took awhile longer before the museum was able to open, but today HoloSands is one of the favorite exhibits at the Monroe Science Center!
